FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask before signing up, and a few they ask afterwards.

Is there a free plan or just a trial?

A free plan. One project, 25 keyword slots for weekly rank tracking, manual rank checks, 100 credits at signup that never expire, plus 100 more research credits every month so you are never fully locked out between renewals. No countdown, no card, and we do not delete your data if you stop using it for a while.

Does rank tracking cost credits?

No. Your plan includes a pool of keyword slots, and scheduled checks run against that pool at no credit cost. One slot covers a keyword checked weekly on mobile; daily costs 7, and adding desktop doubles it. Credits are only for keyword research, metric refresh, ad-hoc lookups, audits and agent calls.

What do 100 signup credits get me?

Around five keyword searches at the default 250 rows, or eight at 100 rows — enough to see whether the data is good. They are one balance with anything you buy later, and none of it expires. On top of that, the Free plan renews 100 more research credits every month, so research does not stop entirely once the signup credits are gone.

Can I use this for client work?

Yes, that is most of who uses it. One project per client, tags for their content plan, CSV export for their report. Agency gives you fifteen seats and unlimited projects.

No, and we are not building it. Crawling the web well enough to have a link index worth selling is a nine-figure undertaking, and pretending otherwise would be obvious within a day. If links are your job, Ahrefs is the tool.

Do you have a site audit?

A crawl and issue list is on the roadmap. It is not shipped yet, and we would rather tell you that than list it as a feature and let you find out.

Can I export my data?

Yes, from everywhere: saved keywords, rankings with deltas, and the full credit ledger, all as CSV, on every plan including free. There is no export-limits tier. Your keyword list is yours.

Does it work outside the US?

Around fifty country and language markets. Major markets get the full metric set; smaller ones return keywords and volume without difficulty or intent, and the picker tells you which before you spend anything.

How accurate is search volume?

Directionally right, precisely wrong — it is modelled from advertising data, like every other tool's. See where the data comes from for the honest version.

Can Claude or Cursor use it?

Yes, on every plan including Free, over MCP. Same projects, same credits, same limits. Every tool response tells the agent what it just spent and what is left, which turns out to matter quite a lot when something is calling tools in a loop.

What happens if I run out of credits mid-run?

You cannot. Credits are reserved before the vendor is called, so an action you cannot afford is refused before it costs anything. Scheduled rank tracking is not affected either way — it runs on your keyword slots, not credits.

Do you have an API?

The MCP server is the API for now, and it speaks HTTP with bearer tokens as well as stdio, so it is usable from a script and not only from an agent. A plain REST API is not currently planned.

Who is behind this?

A small team that got tired of paying $139 a month for four tools out of fifty. Say hello: support@trynextrank.com.
