Search Console
Connect Google Search Console for free, first-party click and impression data, and quick-win queries — no credits, no vendor cost.
Everything else in Nextrank comes from a paid data vendor. Search Console is different: it is your own data, read from your own Google account, and it costs nothing to look at — no credits and no keyword slots, on every plan including Free.
Connecting
One member of your organization signs in with Google and grants read-only Search Console access. That connection is shared by the whole project — teammates see the same queries and pages without each connecting their own account. If that member ever loses access or leaves the org, the connection shows as needing reconnection rather than silently going stale.
Domain properties are listed first in the picker, since they aggregate every subdomain and protocol Google sees for you, which matches how rank tracking already matches your domain.
What you get
Queries and pages tables with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, each with a delta against the prior period. Pick a 7-day, 28-day or 3-month range; there is no country or device breakdown in this version, since a domain property already aggregates across both.
Search Console's own data typically finalises 2–3 days behind real time — that lag is Google's, not a delay we add.
Quick wins
Queries sitting at position 8–20 with meaningful impressions are flagged as quick wins: you are visible enough to matter and close enough to page one that a content or on-page fix is more likely to move you than starting from nothing. They surface on both the Search Console screen and as a suggested next action on your project overview.
Turning queries into work
Select queries and save them as keywords — they land in your saved list tagged with their source so you can tell a query Google already sends you traffic for from one you found in research. From there, track them the same way as any saved keyword, through your existing keyword slots.
Caching
Results are cached for 24 hours per project and range, so switching tabs or reloading the screen does not re-hit the Google API. This is a courtesy to Google's quota, not a cost control on our end — reading Search Console never touches your credit balance either way.
